We are seeking a Remote Orthopedic Medical Coder specializing in Surgical and Evaluation & Management (E&M) coding. In this role, you will assign accurate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes to orthopedic procedures and services, ensuring compliance with medical coding guidelines and payer policies. This fully remote position is ideal for certified medical coders with orthopedic expertise and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately code orthopedic surgical procedures and E&M services.
• Review medical documentation to ensure coding compliance.
• Collaborate with providers to resolve documentation or coding discrepancies.
• Stay updated on coding guidelines and changes specific to orthopedics.

Qualifications:

• Certification (CPC, CCS, or equivalent) with orthopedic coding experience.

Job description

The Coding Network (TCN) is looking to contract with Orthopedic coders to perform the daily Orthopedic coding for a number of clients throughout the country. TCN works with over 150 Orthopedic groups throughout the country, our codes access the operation reports via a remote connection to the client's EMR.. Hours can range from a 15-40 hour/week commitment, any time on the 24 hour clock, seven days a week.

We currently have work available for multiple Orthopedic coders in both of our Surgical and E&M divisons. Please indicate on your resume if your experience is surgical profee, E&M or both.

All applicants must:

· Have a minimum of 3 years of Orthopedic Specific Coding

· Have an active coding certification (CPC, RHIA, RHIT)

· Live and work in the United States of America

· Take and pass TCN’s Ortho Surgical or Ortho E&M Coding Exam
